Hailing from Leesburg, Virginia, Sarah Warfield is a Research Assistant at the Center for Survey Research.
In addition to being a substitute teacher for Charlottesville City Schools, she is currently a student at UVA working towards a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's of Teaching in Special Education. She will graduate in December of 2020 with both degrees.
Sarah first learned about the Cooper Center while taking a Social Research Methods class with Professor Tom Guterbock, who is also the director of CSR. She began interning at CSR in May 2019.
At CSR Sarah works on many different projects, which she finds very important and fascinating. She loves looking at results and working with data to see the overall outcome of the different surveys that are sent out.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys learning new styles of Latin dance. She is also very passionate about promoting mental health and working to end the stigma surrounding mental illness.
In the future, she would love to work on research involving mental health or education.
