The purpose of this survey was to better understand why individuals accept or turn down offers of tenured/tenure-track faculty employment at the UVa. Specifically all respondents were asked to rate their experience with the interview process the quality of the offer they received from UVa and the importance of various attributes of the position to their final decision. Individuals who declined the offer of employment at UVa were asked about the offer they did accept and whether there was anything the University could have done to change their decision.
All individuals who were offered a faculty position at the Uva between the fall of 2011 and the fall of 2013
